Once you have data files on
your hard drive, open Bull's-Eye Broker and do the following:
- Determine or create your own File Format. You can do this by
selecting File Format Setup from the Data menu. Press F1 for help
using this screen.
- If the "Select Import Data Files" screen is not
showing, from the File menu, select Import.
- Select the drive you wish to use from the Drive list box.
- Select the directory where the data files are located from the
Directory list box.
- Select all the files you would like to import from the Available
Files list. You can select multiple files by clicking on each
individual file while holding down the Ctrl key.
- Click the Add (>) button. Alternatively, if you would like to
add all the files in the Available Files list, click the Add All
button (>>). The files should appear in the Selected Files
list.
- Repeat steps 2 – 5 until you have selected all the files to be
used for the import.
- Select the File Format of these data files. All files selected
for the import must be of the same format.
- Click the Begin Import button.
The Import will begin. Any errors that occurred during the import
will be reported. Please note that error reporting is done line by
line and lines containing errors are not saved to the database. This
means if there are 360 lines in your text file and only 2 are reported
as having errors in them, Bull's-Eye Broker has processed 358 lines
successfully. Please contact your data provider if your text file
contains errors.
To confirm that the data has been imported successfully you can use
the View Data feature in Bull's-Eye Broker. From the View menu, select
Data. |
